At Ste Anne's Parish we strive together to become a merciful community of gospel hospitality that is actively engaged in living out our Baptismal call to be intentional disciples of Jesus Christ and invite others to do the same.
For children ages 3-5 at our 10:30am and 12:00pm Masses we have our Sunday Friends program. Parents are asked to sign their children up before Mass begins at our Children's Centre in the Main Foyer off the parking lot. Sunday friends lasts for the whole Mass. Children will play, pray and learn about Jesus in the story of the day's Gospel. You will receive a "ticket" at sign up. You will need your ticket in order to pick your child up at the end of Mass.
For children ages 5-8 we have Children's Church at our 8:30am (in French), 10:30am and 12:00pm (in English). Children will be invited up before the first reading to join our ministry leaders (catechists) to their very own worship space! Children will experience the same readings and message as their parents in the main Church but at their level and with a healthy dose of fun and imagination! Children will return to their parents at the offertory (collection). We request that you check in at our Children's Centre prior to Mass so that our leaders are aware the number of those who are participating.
We are launching an all new LEAGUE - not a baseball league but a team that is playing for God! The new Ste. Anne's Altar Server League is a club for children and youth ages 7-18. To join you must have made your First Communion. Special fun events will be had throughout the year for members.
LAND ACKNOWLEDGMENT
We acknowledge that we are on land and surrounded by water, originally inhabited by Indigenous Peoples who have travelled this area since time immemorial. This territory is within the lands honoured by the Wampum Treaties; agreements between the Anishinaabe , Haudenosaunee , Lenni , Lenape and allied Nations to peacefully share and care for the resources around the Great Lakes. Specifically, we would like to acknowledge the presence of the Three Fires Confederacy (Ojibwe , Odawa , Potawatomi and Huron/Wendat) Peoples. We are dedicated to honouring Indigenous history and culture while remaining committed to moving forward respectfully with all First Nations, Inuit and Métis.
