Click here to watch "Brother Francis: Celebrating the Eucharist - The Bread of Life" on Formed.org. The whole video is 30min long. Please watch with your child.
After the first half (around the 13:00 minute mark), discuss:
Do you know what it means to follow in someone’s footsteps? It means that there are qualities (good things) about that person that you admire and you try to be like them by doing good things too.
As Christian Catholics we are called to follow in Jesus' footsteps, to be like him in loving God above all and love everyone we meet the way we would want to be loved.
In the Brother Francis video that you watched, there was a story of Blessed Imelda. There are many people who followed in the footsteps of Jesus in an extraordinary way. We call these people Saints.
Click the button below to print off 4 bookmarks and read about 4 different patron Saints of Holy Communion. A patron is a fancy word for someone who gives money to an artist so they can make beautiful art for the world. A heavenly patron like the saints mentioned here won't give you money to pain, but the WILL ask for graces and blessings from God to help you become the masterpiece of God the Father. The way you love others, forgive others and follow Jesus will transform the world into a beautiful place.
Which Saint do YOU want to take as your personal patron? You can pray to them each day to be your heavenly friend who will help you get closer to God.

Our Father, who art in heaven,
hallowed be thy name,
thy kingdom come,
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our tresspasses.
As we forgive those who tresspass against us.
And lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil.
AMEN.
Hail Mary, full of grace,
the Lord is with thee,
blessed art thou among women,
and blessed is the fruit
of thy womb, Jesus.
Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners, now,
and at the hour of our death.
AMEN.
Glory be to the Father,
and to the Son,
and to the Holy Spirit.
As it was in the beginning,
is now,
and will be forever,
AMEN.
My Jesus,
I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love You above all things,
and I welcome You into my soul.
Stay close with me always,
so I may follow you forever.
AMEN.
